2026 Pat Rawdon Cup

Jackson Timoney became one of the youngest players ever to win one the south west “majors” when he defeated county player Derek Quinn in the 2026 Pat Rawdon cup final in The Bayview Killybegs on Saturday 26^th, the 15 year old Abbey Vocational school student who already had the youth title wrapped up was immense in the final winning 6-0 including a 156 checkout to round of a great display by this young darts player in this the 15^th holding of this event, in the semi-final he defeated defending champion Declan Cunningham while Derek overcame county team mate Cartha Boyle.

We had a total of 62 throwers for the first big tournament held locally in the month of September so with the success of the event it will be held from now on in late September.

Full list of results are bellow with so many great games from beginning to end it would take a long report to go over everything. In the shield it was county player Jordan Boyce who defeated Conor O’Donoghue who’s back throwing darts after a few years off the local darts scene 5-1, in the semi-finals Jordan defeated youth thrower LJ McShane while Conor had a good win over Martin McMenamin.

Thanks to Seamus and the staff of The Bayview for hosting and their hospitality, to all the players, those who helped keep things running as it’s not easy with two tournaments running side by side and of course we had the youth event to start the day off at 2pm, thanks to our sponsors Auto Glo Valeting & Detailing, GCM Painting, James Byrne Media Services, Precise Books, The Bayview Hotel, Catcha Coffee Cork, Pelagia Feeds Ireland Limited, The Fleet Inn, John Byrne and family, Ernan Cassidy, Ronan Kennedy and Ernan Cassidy for suppling the stands and boards and to anyone who supported this in any way.
