On a night where there was no previous winner involved it gave all 22 players an opportunity to get their name on a local title or even get to the final or last four and at the end of the night it was Adrian Byrne who defeated Kenneth Kennedy in the final 5-2, after the first four legs it was level at 2-2 before Adrian hit 180s in the next two legs before taking out the final leg to take the title, he also had two 180s in the semi-final where he defeated Tomas Byrne who was appearing in his first semi-final while Ken overcame Hugh Doherty in a close game. In the quarters Hugh Doherty came from 2-0 down against Seanie Boyle hitting a 130 finish on the bull to go 3-2 up in that one, Thomas had a big win over John McHugh, Adrian defeated his brother 4-0 and Ken beat Paidi Cunningham 4-1.
