2014 O'Donnell's Doubles

Doubles Triumph for John and Dermot in O’Donnell’s

The first doubles tournament in the area since 2009 was held in early November in O’Donnell’s Bar, Meenenary. The partnership of John McGinley and Dermot McGuire were overall winners following a 5-3 win over James Byrne and Martin Barr, James and Martin went into a 2-0 lead in the final before the eventual winners took the next four legs, James finished double seven to make it 4-3 and with them down on a double to tie it up John Con finished 60 on the third dart to clinch the cup. Beaten semi-finalists were Jason Cunnea and Kenneth Byrne and Josie Gillespie and Enda Cookie McGinley.
