Kilcar House 10-0 Bridge Bar

Kilcar House started 2013 with a whitewash of The Bridge Bar, Colm Carr defeated Adrian Byrne 3-2 in the opening singles in a closely fought match the home side only dropped four legs on the night. This result moves them into second place and a step closer to securing a playoff spot while the Bridge Bar are still looking for their first league win of the season.

O’Donnell’s 6 Big Francies 4

O’Donnell’s completed the double over Big Francies with a good 6-4 win last Saturday, John Gallagher beat Mike Naulty Jnr 3-1 in the opening singles match. Andrew Gillespie and John Murphy had 180’s and Mike Naulty a 100 checkout this result moves O’Donnell’s into the top four but with two games more played than the Cope House.

Roartys 8 Big Francies 2

In the rearranged match played last Thursday Roartys superior finishing got them a 8-2 win in Ardara, John McGinley defeated Mike Naulty 3-2 in the two pointer match with John taking out 106 to win the match he also had a 180 and two 18 dart legs, Mike had a 136 finish and 17 and 18 dart legs. Dermot McGuire had 17 and 19 dart legs.

The 15th hosting of this event takes place in The Bridge Bar, Carrick on Saturday 19th January starting at 5pm. €600 in prize money and trophies for the winner, runner-up and highest checkout the format this year is changed open draws each round and matches to be played in the order they are drawn so all boards will be in operation at all times this should speed up the tournament, contact James at 086-9969256 for enquiries.
