Fawltys 1-5 McIntires

McIntires made it a league and cup double with a 5-1 win over holders Fawltys in John Joe’s on Saturday 12^th of April.

The Dunkineely side stormed into a 3-0 lead following the doubles so this meant they only needed to win two of the six singles to win the title.

D. Cunningham/N. Cunningham beat R. McBrearty/I. Muirhead, M. Nulty/R. Cunningham beat A. McBrearty/G. McBrearty (Gerry McBrearty hit a 118 finish) and B. White/E. Quigley defeated P. Gallagher/JD Gallagher.

In the singles Mike Nulty made it 4-0 with a 2-0 win over Irwin Muirhead, John Damien Gallagher won the only match for Fawltys with a 2-1 win against Declan Cunningham (John hit a 180 in this match), Niall Cunningham was the hero for McIntires when he beat Philip Gallagher 2-1.
