Ringfort 5 Kilcar House 4
The Ringfort completed a memorable first season in the league by completing the double by coming from 3-1 down to defeat favorites Kilcar House 5-4 in an exciting match in John Joe’s last Friday. The match went down to the final leg which made it the fifth final (including B & knockout) to finish this way.
Doubles:
Brendan White/John Quigley 0-2 Raymond Hegerty/Terence Cunningham,
Declan Cunningham/Keith Murray 0-2 Anthony Diver/Kenneth Kennedy
Paul McGeegan/Richie Cunningham 2-0 James McGinley/Michael McShane
Kilcar House went 3-1 up following a excellent performance by Raymond Hegerty who hit two 180’s in his 2-0 victory over Richie Cunningham.
County player Declan Cunningham had a 2-0 victory over ex county player Anthony Diver in a close match and Brendan White made it 3-3 by defeating Kenneth Kennedy by the same score line.
Michael McShane beat John Quigley 2-0 to put Kilcar House 4-3 up and in a very tight match James McGinley lost 2-1 versus ex county player Paul McGeegan in a match that James was unfortunate not to win.
In the final match Emmett Quiqley who was in the same position in the cup final played Terence Cunningham, Emmett took the first leg but Terence fought back to take the match to the deciding leg, which Emmett took after some excellent darts.
Wells done to both teams for giving the large crowd an excellent night’s entertainment

The 5 in a row All Ireland Donegal County team visited the Bridge Bar in Carrick on the 9th December last to play a South West League Select side. The match finished up in the end 16-1 to the county team (Tommy Feeney wining the SW game) most of the matches were very close but the finishing and experience of the County lads was sharper on the night, this good showing by the SW team means this will now become an annual event on the local Darts calendar.
