2011 South West Donegal Darts AGM
The SWDDL AGM was held in John Joe’s on Friday 9th September the committee for the upcoming season is:
Chairman: John McGinley
Secretary: Andrew Gillespie
Treasurer: Declan McGettigan
PRO: James Byrne
Fixtures Officer: Declan McGettigan
The new position of fixtures office will be held by Declan McGettigan any disputes regarding fixtures are to be dealt by him.
Their will be NO CANCELLATIONS accepted in the league this season as this has been an issue this past few seasons and it has to be sorted this season. All teams have to provide a contact number for the team captain for the sheets so teams can contact each other.
The panel will still remain at 12 players and all names to be given to the PRO on or before the Paddy Byrne tournament in December and the list of names will be published on the website.
Format 3 doubles best of three and 6 singles best of 5 the change for the new season is that the first singles match is worth two points we hope this will encourage teams top put their best player out first this means a match can finish in a draw. The cup format remains the same.
The top two teams go into league semis and the next four play off to join them. Friday 16th is the deadline for teams to enter first round takes place on the weekend of 30th September. Eleven teams have entered the league but a couple of them are not 100% sure yet, Kilcar House and Big Francies B are the two new sides.
Their will be a tournament in April for the top 16 ranked players that attend the local competition, points will be tallied up at the end of each competition players get a point for turning up to each event.
