Kilcar House are 2016 SWDDL Champions
Runners up in the past three seasons Kilcar House won the South West Donegal Darts league title for the first time since 2003 following a 5-2 win over last year’s winners O’Donnell’s, needing just two points on the night they wrapped up the league by winning the opening two doubles, Raymond Hegarty and Roger McShane came from 1-0 down to beat John Menchia and James Boyle while Joe Shovlin and James Byrne beat Andrew Gillespie and Noel McGinley 2-0. Joe had two 180s on the night while James Boyle won the two pointer for O’Donnell’s in the last match of the night, John McHugh presented the cup to stand in captain James Byrne as team captain Kenneth Kennedy was unavailable on the night. Kilcar House now play John Eoinins in the Shield while O’Donnell’s face the side that beat them in the Cup final John The Miners in the other semi-final.
