Brendan Dolan from Belco, Co. Fermanagh won the 10th Annual Leo Molloy Darts Tournament for the fourth time the tournament was held in Kilcar on Saturday the 7th February.
Brendan defeated SWDDL player and 2006 winner John McGinley 5-2 in the final, with the match tied at 2-2 John had a number of darts to take a 3-2 lead but Brendan snatched that leg which many feel was the deciding moment as Brendan won the following two legs to retain the cup, in the semi finals Brendan beat O’Donnell’s player John Gallagher and John got revenge for his recent Con Sean defeat beating Anthony Gallagher of Roartys.
In the local tournament held in Kilcar House on Sunday evening James Byrne came from 2-0 down to defeat Michael Molly in the final.

Flood lifts Con Sean Cup for Fourth Time

Over 60 players turned out for the 2014 Con Sean Darts Tournament which was held in the Bridge Bar, Carrick on January 18th in which was one of the most competitive hosting’s of this event to date we had great darts action from the first matches which started at 5:30pm. By the time we reached the final it was 3 times winner John Flood who overcame Gerard McGlynn 6-5 in a great final Glenfin man McGlynn appearing in his first Con Sean took the first leg with a 100 check out on 15 darts, Flood won the next two legs on tops and double 8 with a 14 dart leg. Gerard tied it up at 2-2 before John took the next two legs with a double 18 and a 96 check out on the bull. Both players swapped the next two legs with Gerard checking out double 9 and John on double 18. John with two darts finished 68 to go within one leg of victory before a 156 finish by Gerard (the highest of the day)set up a deciding match at 5-5 but it was John Flood who snatched victory with steady last leg, credit to both lads for an entertaining final. Losing semi-finalists were Shaun McGlynn and Andrew Gillespie.
