Week Four
Big Frances made it three wins in a row with a 9-1 win over Glenhead, Mike Naulty beat Hugh Doherty in the opening singles match Mike had an 18 dart leg. The Cope also had a big win they defeated The Bridge Bar 8-2 Adrian Byrne won the opening singles with a 3-2 win against Philip Gallagher, Adrian and Stephen Muirhead had 180s and Adrian had a 17 dart leg. Roartys kept their 100% record with a good 7-3 win against Kilcar House, John McGinley beat Raymond Hegarty 3-1 in the opening singles match Anthony Diver marked his return to darts for Kilcar House with a 3-2 win over Kieran Carr.

There were 22 players present for the debut of the Big Francies Grand Prix, there were many good darts thrown on the day, some big starts and a few 180s as well, it was nice to see every pub in the league represented.
The 3 high starts were Dermott McGuire, Donal Duddy, and John Gallagher who all had 160 starts, Mike Naulty had a 154, and Kieran Carr had 152 both in the final. There were a total of 10 180s on the day as well; Mike Naulty and Andrew Gillespie both had 14 dart legs as well.
Thanks to the staff of Big Francies for providing the food and some raffle gifts as well, also thanks to Whatcha Mc Collums for the vouchers, and thanks to divers shop for the biscuits as well...and thanks to D.A.M. Dart Promotions for the stand-up board for the day as well as the trophies.

Changes to last year’s rules:
Team panels reduced from 12 to 10 players per team, panels to be handed into the committee on or before Saturday 8th December.
First player out in singles, winner get two points for the team but one point on the individual table (it was two points last year).
The two losing league semis finalist’s will play off with the winner entering the B cup.
The shield competition at the John Harkin tournament will be open to all SWDDL players.
Last date for entering a team is Friday 21st September and the first matches will take place on Friday/Saturday 5/6th October.
SWDDL will play the Donegal Town League in late December in Killybegs (TBC)
